Our Story
& Mission

Carers Heart didn't start as a business. It started with my daughter.

She is 25 now, and she was born with Down syndrome. Everything I understand about this work began there — in the early years when I was simply a mother who didn't know what came next. There was so much I had to learn on my own, and so many nights I lay awake worrying about her future, wishing someone would sit beside me and tell me where to begin.

Years later I became a support worker myself. I worked across several providers and supported people with a wide range of disabilities, and I saw the same picture from the other side: workers who genuinely cared but were stretched too thin, plans that looked right on paper and didn't fit the reality of someone's morning, and families too tired to keep asking.

I also sit among Korean mothers raising children with disability. I hear what they carry — the worry, the language barrier, the sense of being one step behind a system that was never explained to them in their own words.

Standing on both sides of that gap is why Carers Heart exists. We know what a parent is holding. We know what a participant actually needs on a Tuesday morning, not just what the plan says. And we know what it takes to support the workers who show up. That is what we built this company around — and it is what we still measure ourselves by.

WHY CARERS HEART

What Sets
Us Apart

What Sets
Us Apart

What Sets
Us Apart

Three things we believe make a real difference — not just to how we deliver care, but to how it feels.

The right support should feel consistent, personal and easy to understand.

The right support should feel consistent, personal and easy to understand.

01

Clinical Leadership from a Registered Nurse

For families managing complex health needs, peace of mind matters as much as the care itself. Carers Heart's high-intensity and complex care services are overseen by a Registered Nurse on our team — so needs like enteral feeding, tracheostomy care, or complex medication management are managed with proper clinical governance, individual competency assessments, and careful risk planning for every participant.

02

Deep Cultural Understanding & Tailored Nutrition

We support Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, particularly Korean-Australian participants and families. That means genuinely bilingual support workers who understand the culture, not just the language — and Korean and Asian meal planning and preparation woven into everyday care, because feeling at home matters.

03

A Person-Centred Approach, Not a Slogan

Your goals shape your care plan, not the other way around. We work alongside family, allied health professionals, and Support Coordinators, and we check in regularly — not only when something needs fixing.
